Abstract

A laboratory experiment which simulated error of overlooking while driving was conducted. Since relationship between mental workload and depression of function of eye movement and dynamic visual acuity was not clear, individual attentional characteristic was introduced to clarify. From the fact that the eye movement was depressed by the increasing workload only in low "ability to control cognitive processes" group, and from analysis by "tnedency to perform tasks concurrently" group, it was through that the eye movement was affected interactively by the workload and the attentional characteristic, and that intrduction of individual characteristic to visual cognitive error study was useful.
