Abstract

In addition to the requirement of crush safety improvement in resent years, a demand for an material-saving measure because of soaring material price is increasing. This study shows the body structure enables high-efficiency energy absorption without weight increaseby improving on a frame structure to be conformed to the rear-offset crush test mode introduced in North America. And an appropriateness of the structure is demonstrated by CAE and experiments.
