Abstract

Existing steering control method is attributed to the mechanism developed in the 18th century and since then people have been compelled to adapt its rather awkward control rule. However, at the break of Steer-By-Wire era, it is considered to be meaningful for us to search for better control rules other than the existing. In this second report, steady state and dynamic response characteristics as well as safety and handling related performance of one promising control rule found through the search presented in the first report are multilaterally reported.
