Abstract

In order to prevent workers from overload under standard operating system, a process standard operational workload evaluation model was constructed based on DORATASK method. Considering both efficiency and ergonomics, a workload assessment model was proposed with time occupancy rate as main measurement index and energy metabolism rate as a modified factor. Then, a model solving process was designed by employing virtual simulation technology. Finally, this model was applied in standard operation case of an engine oil part manufacturing company for simulation analysis. The results show that the model can quantify workload and accurately reflect workload state of workers under standard operation procedure. Workload evaluation can provide a basis for optimizing standard operation system which keeps a balance between efficiency and safety, and therefore, through system design, occupational health and safety of all workers can be protected. © 2020 China Safety Science Journal.
