Abstract

In order to reduce the support cost and improve the tunneling efficiency of mining roadways with large mining height, a return air roadway was taken as the object. The roadway was from 12511 working face with large mining height in Bulianta coal mine. The optimization of support parameters of the roadway was studied by comparing the stability of surrounding rock of the roadway under different support schemes. In view of the existing support scheme, theoretical analysis and field measurement were carried out, so as to analyze the stability of the surrounding rock. For the support scheme after parameter optimization, the stability of the surrounding rock was analyzed by numerical simulation. The results show that the existing support conditions have met the requirements of safe production. The surrounding rock of the roadway under the influence of mining is not greatly damaged, and the support strength is too large. By changing the diameter, quantity, and row spacing of anchor bolts and cables, the support parameters are optimized. Compared with the existing support scheme, the optimized scheme increases the deformation of the main side, auxiliary side, and roof by 10%, 6%, and 16%, respectively. The values have met the requirements of roadway support. In addition, the scheme reduces the support cost by 47. 3%, increases the tunneling efficiency of the roadway, and alleviates the tension in the mine connection. © 2022 China Safety Science Journal
