Abstract

In order to explore the seepage characteristics of groundwater in the coal seam of abandoned oil well and the disaster prevention methods in the overlapping area of kerosene resources, this paper adopted Comsol Multiphysics software to establish a geometric model which randomly selected an abandoned oil well in Shuangma mine as the research object. Under the conditions of different temperature, groundwater dynamic viscosity, groundwater density, permeability and porosity of coal seam, the seepage velocity, shape and pressure of seepage range of water in abandoned oil wells in coal seam are different. The results show that the seepage velocity of groundwater from an abandoned oil well in a coal seam decreases with the increase of distance from the abandoned oil well. With the change of time, the groundwater in the coal seam formed a circular seepage form with the oil well as the centre radius gradually increasing, and the seepage range reached about 280 m circle area within 30 years. The coal seam near the abandoned oil well is greatly affected by the water head inside the well, while the coal body far away has little influence. The study of groundwater seepage characteristics in abandoned oil Wells based on numerical simulation can provide a reference for the study of formation mechanism, main control factors and prevention and control technology of water damage in abandoned oil wells. © 2022 China Safety Science Journal
