Abstract

We present the case of an unplanned complex suicide in a 28-year-old male. During autopsy, signs of five different suicide methods were found, including both "hard" and "soft" methods of self-harm. The fatal suicide method was an intentionally induced car crash. The case illustrates the importance of close collaboration between forensic medicine and the investigating authorities in cases of complex suicides, especially when these involve road traffic collisions.
