Abstract

Information retrieval on the Internet is particularly challenging for the non-expert user seeking technical information with specialized terminology. The user can be assisted during the required search tasks with intelligent agent technology delivered through a decision making support system. This paper describes the technology and its application to suicide prevention searches performed for the National Institute of Mental Health. © Springer-Verlag 2004.
