Abstract

Timely and important studies are reviewed and commentaries provided by leading palliative care clinicians. Symptoms, interventions, and treatment-related adverse events addressed in this issue are suicides in patients receiving antiepileptic drugs, a single-item screening test for drug use in primary care, nutritional screening to aid prognostication in advanced cancer patients, lactulose versus polyethylene glycol for constipation, Web-based cognitive behavioral interventions for chronic pain, and neuropathic pain features in patients with bone metastases. © 2011, Informa Healthcare USA, Inc.
