Abstract

Epidemiologic studies have proven an increase of narcissistic disorders during in recent decades. Narcissism has many faces. It is obvious at present, that the destructive aspect of pathological narcissism increasingly finds its expression in form of destructive violence. Homicide-suicide is a frequently observed phenomenon and in this context, the ambivalence of narcissism between auto-aggression and aggression towards others is discussed. © Schattauer 2016.
