Abstract

A wasp sting with lethal consequences in a 52 year old lumberjack was recognised as an occupational accident. The important facets of an expert opinion rendered as judicial evidence are related. The particularities and difficulties in diagnosis of anaphylactic shock following insect bites are elaborated and developed.
