Abstract

A prevalent fear of elderly people concerns the loss of one's memory and the implication such an impairment creates. This article describes memory improvement classes which significantly enhance memory functions in a heterogeneous group of elderly individuals in the Adult Day Care setting. The group is comprised of people with varying degrees of cognitive function from those with severe, irreversible memory loss to individuals whose memory functions are still intact.
