Abstract

The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) founded in 1966, is a non-commercial co-operative industrial research organization set up by the Indian Automotive Industry in association with the Government of India. Almost all vehicle manufacturers and leading automotive ancillary manufacturers are its members. Committment to Safety is ARAI's motto. Whether it is testing, or laying out standards, or looking into the future aspects and areas of automotive technology the sight from safety has not been lost. ARAI will continue to play its pivotal role in the Indian automotive sector trying to make Indian automobiles and components safer for the user.
