Abstract

A team at Purdue University's Department of Forestry and Natural Resources works with rights-of-way managers to develop effective land management scenarios, addressing issues like invasive weed and brush control, establishing native grasses, and wetland rehabilitation. Roadside land management creates attractive areas that provide a habitat for animals and birds while minimizing the need for frequent mowing and weed control. Programs from Alabama and Minnesota are highlighted.
