Abstract

A flexible, relatively simple computerized local area traffic model which can be used to predict average daily traffic on local streets was developed. Modifying input parameters also can permit an assessment of peak-hour traffic impacts. The model can be used to evaluate preliminary site plans/subdivision maps and eventually to determine final design criteria for street improvements.
