Abstract

The objectives of this task are: to assess the acute effects of stimulant drugs on actual driving and cognition; to establish the effects of stimulant drugs on actual driving and cognition during the withdrawal phase; and to establish the practical relevance of the drug effects with those induced by an amount of alcohol sufficient to raise blood-alcohol concentration (BAC) to the legal limit (i.e. 0.5 promille). Possibly, the behavioural effects will be linked to blood levels of the drug. (Abstract only)
