Abstract

To develop cars which meet the safety requirements it is necessary to know which parts of the car cause injuries and the frequency and severity of those injuries. This study shows the engineer parts or areas to which he should pay attention in constructing less aggressive cars. The study shows that there are parts or areas which have a particular importance for the road user concerned by the type of accident. The cost of mitigating these aggressive parts or areas would be shown by a cost-benefit analysis. (TRRL)
