Abstract

Due in to the law 624/96, it has lately enriched the past laws about Safety and prevention in the extraction field. Unfortunately in this field, there continues to be a high level of accidents and injuries. The law 626/96 in question has brought about change in the previous system. Without considering the modifications to procedure and applying this new law, we could obtain the following advantages: 1. An increased awareness and responsibility from managers/owners towards Safety and Health of employees. 2. The DSS (Health and Safety Document) requested by the law 624/96 could be used in the daily running of business, therefore applying the security regulations for the health of workers. 3. A better working relationship between managers and Safety controllers can be created due to the assisting and advising role (as regards Health and Safety) from all controllers.
