Abstract

Coleman, V.P., 1986. Occupational head injury accidents in Great Britain. Journal of Occupational Accidents, 8: 161-172.As part of a special review of head injury accidents at work the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has undertaken several analyses of head injury accidents at work, including fatalities, in the period 1981-1983 inclusive, using national databases. Analyses by industrial sector, severity of injury, age of injured person and type of accident are presented. The data constitutes an important starting point for assessing the scope for prevention of such accidents.
