Abstract

Taking as an example the organizational and technical restructuralization of hybrid circuit processing at a medium-sized plant, the various tasks essential in order to solve the problems involved are discussed.The major drawbacks associated with the previous processing system included excessive strain on the eyes (caused by microscopic work), the poor ergonomic layout of the production facilities, inadequate protection against environmental influences and the high psychic demands imposed upon the personnel.Appropriate layout and arrangement of machinery and equipment, control of environmental factors in the operatives' working areas and surrounding spaces (lighting, colour-scheming, air-conditioning) together with enhanced flow of material and data, and procedural improvements make it possible to arrive at an optimum processing system that satisfies economical requirements while complying with safety regulations and ergonomic demands.In order to ensure proper fulfillment of these requirements, it is necessary to involve all concerned, i.e. personnel and management, at both the planning and realization stages, giving due consideration to their ideas and requests.
