Abstract

Gender violence exercised by men is a complex and multifactorial problem that requires tasks aimed at prevention, based on the idea, in general, that violence is not an act of lack of control, but a mechanism of control by the male towards women. Among the professionals who are actively involved in detection and protection measures for victims, are the forensic pathologists who, from specific violence aginst women courts, must fulfill a series of objectives, which not only the assessment of physical and psychological injuries, but also risk assessment and regular monitoring of the victims. This requires establishing a basic guide with methodology for the purpose of issuing a scientific based quality expert report that can be produced rapidly due to the urgency required in these cases as an aid to the Judicial Authorities in their resolution on the first protection measures to adopt.
