Abstract

In the first part of this study a description of the different types of ocular trauma is given. This is followed by the pathogeny of retinal detachment after blunt trauma. Then the specific characteristics of the tears and other signs of non-perforation traumatic retinal detachment are discussed. Finally a description is given of the operative technique used in those cases.
