Abstract

This paper is a case study of how Play Therapy is used with a girl who is a victim of bullying by her older brother, who is both abusive and aggresive. This brother was also victimized by domestic violence. Play Therapy started by S. Freud as a way to apply psychoanalysis to children. Since its start a lot of theory and practice regarding therapy for children has been accumulated. This paper deals with the therapeutic function of metaphor, transference relationships and facilitated Play Therapy. It makes clear the positive and negative aspects of Play Therapy.
