Abstract

In some countries, firing guns during celebrations or festivals have become a traditional behaviour. Bullets fired by guns for such intentions fall down following the loss of energy. As descending, they recover some of the energy that they have lost, and may cause serious injuries and even deaths. There are a limited number of studies regarding this type of falling bullets and their effects. In this case report we aimed to present a patient injured with a falling bullet applied to our hospital. This report may give the opportunity to review the literature and discuss the results of falling bullets considering the level and the anatomic localisation of injury.
