Abstract

In 2001 the investigation of physicians in the Lublin Voivodship was carried out using the interview technique concerning the medical care of the alcohol abusing patients. The aim of the second part of investigations was the analysis of reasons and circumstances of alcohol abuse by the patients of SPZOZ. It was stated that there were some serious gaps in the recognition of patients' needs by general practitioners as well as in the quality of medical care. Avoiding responsibility for the treatment of patients abusing alcohol was stated.
