Abstract

Reform of the law of automotive torts, long discussed among American academicians, has recently become the subject of popular debate in France. Professor Tunc is the author of the proposals for absolute liability now being considered; he here explains the rationale and details of his plan against the background of the present French system of tort liability and compulsory insurance.
