Abstract

Important guidance for veterinary surgeons on recognising abuse in animals and people was recently endorsed by the BVA's Members' Services Group. It will help veterinary surgeons and members of their team to recognise abuse or non-accidental injury in animals and provide guidance on where to seek advice when such a case is suspected, and what to do about it.
