Abstract

Various aspects of violent computer games on the psyche of childrens and young adults are discussed. With the advent of various new technologies in computing power, the games now look more realistic than ever and the violence shown in them also spilling over into real life. Violent games provide repetitive aggressive experiences to the gamer who is rewarded by more killing. Many studies shown that people who play violent games regularly are more likely to show high level of aggression. The studies also shows that those who played the violent games were more likely to admit aggressive behaviour, including robberies or assaults.
