Abstract

Is it not time that psychiatrists made a protest regarding the diet of sadism which forms a large part of today's films. The result of this reiterated sadism is that young people grow up with a fantasy life of violence. The consequence is that in some cases, sooner or later, the fantasy is translated into action. Is it surprising, therefore, that offences of violence against persons have increased from 1,583 in 1938 to 2,459 in 1945?
