Abstract

When a site is highly exposed to hazards, choices for mitigation are much more complex. The location of cities, towns, and settlements in general has been guided by economic and resource opportunities, translated as situation. However this is a multifaceted concept that also comprises relationships with distant environments and their changing conditions.
