Abstract

Note: This publication by Cohn discussed the effectiveness of a mandatory school uniform policy in Long Beach, CA on school crime. The author found a substantial reduction in school crime that could be attributed to school uniforms. The uniforms can not be confused with gang colors and can help identify outsiders. Additionally, it was found that school uniforms save parents money.
