Abstract

The medico-legal reconstruction of multiple gunshot injuries can often be a challenge. This is a case report about a 49-year-old lawyer found with heavily bleeding injuries in front of his house. The findings established by clinical and forensic medical examination and criminalistics analysis suggested that the victim was hit by at least three shots including a bullet through the head. The trajectory of another bullet passing through the trunk was so unusual that only extensive discussions between all the disciplines involved led to the successful reconstruction. The victim survived these multiple gunshot injuries suffering nearly no lasting effects.
