Abstract

As Editor-in-Chief of this journal and an academic working with Masters of Public Health students specializing in health promotion, I see a broad spectrum of ideas of what health promotion is in practice. At a personal level, over a couple of weeks, I have interacted with a range of topics, all connected to health promotion. My students are doing research related to the social determinants of health; for example, the role of food provision in social services programs and the factors that support more lasting housing for young mothers who used to have no fixed address.
