Abstract

The author offers his observations, thoughts and opinions on the integration of science and practice in trauma and dissociation. He considers the perception of some clinicians that research is isoteric and not readily integrated into the practice of trauma psychotherapy as one of the greatest barriers to the integration. He cites areas where clinicians turn for the science to guide them in the assessment and treatment of their patients and clients.
