Abstract

The population of 55 children arrested for homicide in Detroit, Michigan, for offenses perpetrated between 1977 and 1984 is analyzed in the context of their killings. Analyses include demographic and social characteristics of offenders and victims, the families of offenders, demographic and social relationships between offenders and victims, and circumstances of offense. Where feasible, comparisons are made with age-general populations of homicide offenders.
