Abstract

Validation (n = 386) and cross-validation (n = 293) samples were randomly selected from a large pool of data collected on male correction officers. Predictions for "poor" performance were up to 41% more accurate than predictions made without benefit of psychological and biographical information gathered in a preemployment setting.
