Abstract

This special issue of JOSPT is the second of a 2-part series on whiplash-associated disorders (WADs). Part 1 was published in the October 2016 issue of the Journal. The articles in these 2 special issues highlight that, while we know a great deal about WAD, there are profound gaps in our understanding of how to more effectively work with patients to limit the consequences of this disorder. The information provided in the special-issue articles can help move physical therapy practice and research toward pragmatic and effective solutions for the perplexing condition of WAD.
