Abstract

A personality inventory consisting of 51 factored homogeneous item dimensions (FHIDs) of 4 items each and 2 validation scales was administered to 305 volunteer students and community persons. Preliminary analysis resulted in the refinement of some dimensions and the elimination of others, leaving a total of 51 variables for the final analysis, including 4 biographical data variables. These 51 selected variables were factor analyzed and rotated to approximate oblique simple structure. Factors Compulsion, Hostility, Neuroticism, and Shyness, identified in previous studies, were confirmed here. Scales are given for the measurement of these personality factors and 4 others of less prominence.
