Abstract

Advancements in biometrics-based authentication have led to its increasing prominence and are being incorporated into everyday tasks. The technology lends itself well to a variety of uses and applications, including security access control for cell phones, ATM manufacturers and automobile manufacturers. Existing security systems in vehicle depends only on alarms or smart card as forms of protection. This paper presents a new approach towards automobile safety and security. In recent time's automobile theft and fatigue related crashes have really magnified. In order to minimize these issues, this paper proposes a Biometric security through Iris recognition which will help in an improved sleep detection and driver alert system by monitoring the driver's eyes. In addition, the profiling of driver behaviors has numerous other potential applications for use by law enforcement and companies dealing with buses and truck drivers.
