Abstract

In the original version of the manuscript, the Mother Jones definition of mass shootings inadvertently included the death of the perpetrator. The text has been changed to: "Mother Jones, in 2012, began collecting data on rampage shootings, which they defined as shootings with one perpetrator, including four or more victims (not including the shooter), occurring in one time period, and not related to another crime."
