Abstract

This systematic review explores findings from eight articles that assess how culture and climate within child welfare organizations impact outcomes for children and families who come into contact with these systems. Systematic methods for search, identification, and analysis of each study were utilized in this review. The review revealed inconsistent results across studies; however, some consistency was found with specific dimensions of culture and climate. The findings suggest that intervening at the client level alone might not be sufficient for achieving desired outcomes, and organizational factors warrant further exploration. The review identified methodological considerations organizational researchers should consider in future studies.
