Abstract

The article substantiates quality indices with regard to road passenger transportation, based on the regulatory and technical documents and experts' evaluation. The quantitative assessment of transportation quality indices is given on the basis of ranked answers of passengers to questionnaire questions (in percentage), and the value of the integrated index of road passenger transportation is determined on the example of Ulyanovsk. Actions within the framework of the program for the enhancement of the urban road passenger transportation system safety are described including measures for improvement of the public transport traffic organization and safety.
