Abstract

Identification of unknown risk factors for falls is important in order for adults to reduce fall risk. Recently, apathy has been recognized as a complex behavioral syndrome represented by declined motivation in cognition, behavior, and emotion. The more severe symptoms of apathy affect executive functions, which is associated with fall risk.
