Abstract

I read with great interest the paper: Validation of Noninvasive Absolute Intracranial Pressure Measurements in Traumatic Brain Injury and Intracranial Hemorrhage, by Kienzler et al.1

I fully agree that a noninvasive method for intracranial pressure (ICP) measuring is highly desirable for ICP measurements in patients with increased intracranial pressure. It would also allow to monitor ICP and its relationship to papilledema. Current research in glaucoma developed the concept of the translaminar pressure gradient as a further risk factor in the pathophysiology of normal tension glaucoma (NTG).2,3
