Abstract

Our study is a cautionary tale of the potential dangers of broad categories of dietary supplements widely available to youth across the country. Claims that dismiss research demonstrating serious medical harms of certain types of dietary supplements should be evaluated in light of the claim makers' conflict of interest and profit motives.
