Abstract

Baby dumping is a worldwide phenomenon refers to discarding a child younger than 12 months of age with the intent to dispose the child. Its negative implications on babies and community made it serious social problem that needs urgent attention. The purpose of this research is to study the perception of the university students to baby dumping problem.

RESULTS showed that from the university students 'prospective, the commonest causes of baby dumbing are lack of religious upbringing and poor application of religious knowledge and the most effective solutions are setting up specific law against baby dumping and adolescence sex education.
