Abstract

The paper surveys the biological and pharmacological effects of cannabis and the role of this compound as a possible therapeutic drug. With the introduction in Norway of laboratory tests for cannabis in blood and urine specimens, the authors wish to initiate a discussion on the role of such analyses and their legal implications, especially with respect to driving capability and road traffic safety.
