Abstract

The paper assume with calculations of possible ground casualty risk of randomly falling out-of-control UAV on a simulated flight path from city of Žilina to city of Martin, during hypothetical delivery mission. For given area, the authors has calculated probability of a third party casualties caused by lose of control during the flight of UAV. While working on this article, the authors has applied the calculations in real environment conditions. The areas which the drone has been simulated to be flying above, has consisted of different density of population. For calculations, the ELOS (Equivalent Level Of Safety) approach has been used. The conclusions contain the recommendations for safety improvements during designing flight routes for drones.
