Abstract

Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems (TCAS) are avionics systems designed to prevent airborne collisions between aircraft. TCAS utilizes a combination of radar, transponder signals, and other data to provide the pilot with a visual and aural warning of nearby aircraft.
