Abstract

In 2004, as part of the North American conference on elderly mobility, Michigan dot, FHWA and AAA Michigan developed a "Showcase Corridor" to highlight specific traffic engineering improvements targeted at improving safety for seniors. Plans are being developed to expand the use of many of these engineering countermeasures throughout Michigan.
